16th TOUR OF TABLES
Each spring, our community gathers for the Tour of Tables, an elegant and inspiring evening at Trinity UMC that directly benefits The Way of Rockport—a life-changing program helping individuals break free from drug and alcohol addiction and begin a new path forward.
On April 23, 2026, this event featured 24 beautifully decorated tables, each seating eight guests and thoughtfully designed by generous hostesses/hosts. When the doors opened at 5:00, guests strolled through the room, admired the creative tablescapes and themes, and browsed an impressive silent auction filled with items donated by local businesses and community members. This year the proceeds from the silent auction more than doubled than last year.
Guests then enjoyed a delicious, professionally served dinner, attended by waitstaff dressed in classic black and white. Later Paul Gatewood, a talented local singer, blessed the crowd of over 190 by singing several gospel songs.
The heart of the evening was listening to the powerful testimony of a recent graduate of The Way. David Mason Huff's testimony offered a moving reminder that recovery is possible—and that community support truly saves lives. David received an immediate standing ovation.
Most importantly, 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction went directly toward supporting the annual operating expenses of The Way. Every bid and every ticket help ensure that individuals seeking freedom from addiction can find hope, healing, and a second chance.
Financial Sponsors for the evening: Being For Others Foundation, Martin-Serrin Insurance Inc., Owensboro Health Foundation, and Randall Haaff.
